Winnie Burris

Winnie Naomi Burris, 92, of Edmonton passed away peacefully Sunday, November 22, 2020 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. Mrs. Burris was born March 16, 1928 in Metcalfe County, the daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth Louise Anderson Barton. She attended school in Metcalfe County and was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church. Mrs. Burris was a retired seamstress and wife of the late James Larue Burris. She is survived by a son David Burris and wife Patricia of Glasgow. Two grandchildren. Richard Keith and Claire Green. Three great grandchildren, Courtney, Vanessa and Brittany. Four great-great grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Burris is also survived by her two sisters. Lugene Jessee of Edmonton and Barbara Pedigo of Summer Shade. Besides her parents and husband Mrs. Burris was preceded in death by three brothers. Edward, Morris and Phillip Barton. Due to the current Covid-19 crisis all services will be private.
