Wilma Jean Firkins age 72 of Edmonton passed away suddenly at her home Sunday, June 28, 2020. Born in Adair County she was the daughter of the late Venus and Geneva Roach Compton. Wilma was retired from Carhartt Industries after 24 and a half years of service and was a member of the Red Lick United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday and after 9:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband Steve Firkins. Two children. Sandy (Gary) Coffey of Columbia and Chris Jessee of Breeding. One step daughter Charity Firkins. Two sisters. Diane Levine of Webster, Kentucky and Dolly Riley of Columbia. Seven grandchildren. Robert Smith, Olivia Jessee, Emma Jessee, April Coffey, John Coffey, Brandon Emmitt and Josh Firkins. Three great grandchildren also survive. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Harold Jessee, her twin sister Ima Jessee and a brother Wayne Compton. Due to the current Covid-19 Crisis only close family will be in attendance at the funeral ceremony. Butler Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrust with the care of Mrs. Firkins.
