William Rock

William Lee Rock age 83 of Center passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon, Kentucky. Born in Mason City, Illinois he was the son of the late Willie and Hauty Jones Rock. He was a Journeyman Locator for Cil-Co Gas Company, member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church and served in the United States Army. After moving back to Kentucky he farmed with his nephew J.R. Rock. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, November 12th at Shady Grove Baptist Church with burial in the Rock Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton and after 9:00 AM Thursday at the church. He is survived by his wife Cheryl Brookshier Rock of Center. A stepson Tim Dorsett and wife Tonya of Norton, Virginia. A step daughter Dawn A. Bell and husband Tommy of Campbellsville. One sister Lillie Mae Finn of Campbellsville. Six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Several neices, nephews, great neices and nephews also survive. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers; Dean, Carroll and Tom Rock.
