Valerie Atwell

Valerie Dianne Atwell, 67 of Edmonton passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville after an illness. Valerie was born in Hart County, May 15, 1955 to the late Rondle Hatcher and Mary Frances Pedigo Acree of Edmonton who survives. Besides her father she was preceded in death by a sister Peggy Sue Katt. Maternal grandparents, Bernice and Dona Hatcher. Paternal grandparents, Albert and Bessie Pedigo. Step grandparents, Frank and Dora Nunn. Mother and father in law, Austin and Carolyn Atwell. Step fathers, Calvin Nunn and Jim Acree. Brother in law, James Atwell. Sister in law Joyce Coffey and three nephews. Mark Atwell, Gregory Roach and Luke Roach. Valerie was a member of the Servent Valley Baptist Church. Retired from SEWS and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband William Robert Atwell (Bill) of Edmonton, whom she married December 11, 1969. Two daughters. Kathy Jo Atwell and Teresa (Mike) Lamb all of Edmonton. Three grandchildren, Justin (Reagan) Moss of Edmonton. Kelly (Steven) Weir of Smiths Grove. Halie Lamb of Edmonton. One great grandchild, Macy Jo Weir. Two sisters, Veronica (Larry) Decker, Charlotte (Scott) Roach. A brother, Randy Steve (Tiny) Hatcher. Two step brothers, Kerry (Beverly) Nunn and Mark (Debbie) Hurley. A brother in law, Bobby (Ann) Atwell of Edmonton. Sister in law, Jean (David) Sallee of Elizabethtown. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Funeral services for Valerie Atwell will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday at Servant Valley Baptist Church at Cave City with brothers Russell Hatcher, Dereke Madison and Wayne Toms officiating. Burial will follow in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon Wednesday until 8:00 PM and after 8:00 AM Thursday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton.
