Sue Rush Romines, 85 of Edmonton, Kentucky went home to see Jesus, her Lord and Savior Sunday September 22, 2024. Sue was born September 10, 1939, to the late Ralph and Maymie Brooks Rush.
Sue grew up in Summer Shade, KY (Metcalfe County) where she met and married her husband of 45 years, Burns Romines until his death in 2002. She dedicated every day of her life to her beloved family raising three sons Robert, John and Steven. Although her pride and joy were her sons the true light of her life were her 10 grandchildren. Additionally, her three great grandchildren never failed to bring a smile to her face. Her last eight years were immeasurably brightened by her partner Tom Gentile and his family who welcomed her into their lives. Sue spent her entire career of 38 years working for the USDA and supporting the farmers of Metcalfe County which she held in high esteem. She was a devout Christian and a kind and caring lady who never met a stranger.
She is survived by her three sons Dr. Robert Romines (Pam); John Romines (Susan) and Steven Romines (Amy), ten grandchildren Kyle, Megan, Allie, Burns, Logan, Maddie, Nolan, Jacob, Gabrielle and Connor, three great grandchildren Shepherd, Haven and Moses White, one brother Butch Rush (Jolene) and sister Mary Stephens. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
