Shirley Clark

Shirley Trent Clark, 81, of Center, Kentucky died Friday May 5th, 2017 at the University of Louisville hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward Clark and daughter of the late Raymond and Frances Roberts Trent. She was also proceeded in death by two brothers, Kim and Billy Ray Trent. She was a faithful member of Center United Methodist Church having served as a Sunday school teacher for the adult class. Mrs. Clark was employed at Mallory's, the Horse Cave Stock Market and Bale Tobacco Warehouse for many years. She is survived by one son Rick (Billie Mae) Clark of Indiana; two daughters Karen (William Eugene) Nunn of Glasgow and Laurie (Lynn) Finn of Center. Seven grandchildren survive: Dr. Meagan Peek (Shane), William Stuart Nunn (Lindsey), Seth Nunn, James William Martin (Tabatha), James Perry Martin, Jr. (Jennifer) Elizabeth Sypole (Jonathon) and Daniel Finn (Roxanne). 5 great grandchildren also survive. She is also survived by her sister Dixie Trent of Huntsville, AL and sister-in-laws Helen Trent of Glasgow and Bonnie Trent Johnson of South Carolina. Funeral services will be 2:00 Sunday May 7th at the Center United Methodist Church in Center, KY. Visitation will be on Saturday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 pm at the Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton and Sunday from 12:00 until time of services at the church. Mrs. Clark chose cremation and interment at the Asbury/Center Cemetery will take place at a later date. Alternate expressions of sympathy may include donations to the Center United Methodist Church Memorial Fund c/o Marsha Jeffries 308 Skyline Drive Edmonton, KY.
