Shelby Thompson

Shelby Jean Thompson age 82 of Edmonton was born March 29, 1938 to the late Frank and Lizzie Poynter Thompson. She departed this life peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton. Shelby was born a special lady and was always the focal point of the Thompson family who always made sure she stayed happy and was cared for. After her move the healthcare facility Shelby was adopted by an extended family who made sure she always kept that smile and twinkle in her eyes. Today she is survived by her brother Burnell Thompon and wife Alice. Three nephews. Steve and Rhonda Thompson and their family. Maxie Kirgan and his family. Terry and Tammy Arford and their family. She is also survived by her special family at the Metcalfe Health Care who provided her with excellent care. Besides her parents Shelby was preceded in death by a sister Frances Kirgan. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Edmonton Cemetery. A walk-through visitation will be from 9:30 AM until service time Tuesday.
