Sadie Eva Brundage

Sadie Eva Brundage, 91 of Summer Shade, KY passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Monroe County Medical Center. Sadie was born December 1,1933, in Aiken, South Carolina to the late Randolph and Eva Binecker McClain. She was also preceded in death by her husband Clifford Nelson Brundage, son Ricky Hodson, sister Ruby Ready (Bigon), brothers David McClain, Oscar McClain, Randolph Junior McClain, Charles McClain, Grady McClain, and Russel McClain (Glenda).

Sadie was a loving, caring and generous person to anyone she came in contact with. She was a loving mother to her own children as well as anyone that needed a mother. She always tried to make sure everyone she met had something to eat or drink. She had many friends and family. Sadie faithfully devoted her life to God and her Bible. 

She is survived by her son James (Melinda) Brundage of Summer Shade, daughter Teresa Taylor, sister-in-law Gail McClain Covar, sister-in-law Jackie McClain, granddaughter Cheyenne N. Brundage (Tyler Hall), granddaughter Kimberly N. Taylor (Robert McClain), grandson Will Bates (Angela), grandson Shane Hodson, grandson Taylor Hodson, grandson Cody Stone, grandson Skyler Stone (Kylie), granddaughter Emily Combee (Jayden) granddaughter Isabelle Stone, grandson Elmer Strickland, grandson James Strickland, and grandson Jonathan Strickland. She is also survived by several great grands, and many nieces and nephews. 

A memorial dinner and remembrance will be scheduled at a later date. She donated her body to science (University of Kentucky Medical College) with hopes that studying her illnesses (cancer, heart disease) will someday help someone in the future.
