Roy Stone

Roy Lewis Stone, 66, of Knob Lick, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. Roy was born November 27, 1953 in the Randolph Community of Metcalfe County to the late Sam and Hazel Muncie Stone. Roy attended school in Metcalfe County and was a member of the graduation class of 1974. After graduation Roy went to work at SEWS and retired from there. Roy was an excellent handyman and was very meticulous about his work. Roy will always be remembered for his laughter and quick wit. Aside from his parents Roy is preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers. Linda Stone, Velma Branham, Louise Stone, Marshall Stone, Veachel Stone, James Stone, Mitchell Stone and William Muncie. Roy is survived by three brothers and one sister. Roger Stone of Randolph, Clifton Stone of Lexington, Donnie Stone of Knob Lick and Brenda Stone of Glasgow. A great host of nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside services for Roy will be held at noon Monday at the Randolph Cemetery with burial to follow. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday and after 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Monday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton. All who wish to honor and remember Roy in person at the visitation or service is required to wear a mask or face covering while inside the funeral home for the safety of all those in attendance.
