Robert Firkin

Robert Lee Firkin age 85 of Edmonton died Friday, September 18, 2015 at his home. He was the son of the late Charlie and Beatrice Howell Firkin. Robert was a heavy equipment operator and member of the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ. Robert served in the US Air Force. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery near Breeding, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday and after 9:00 AM Sunday at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife Mary England Firkin. Two sons, Eric Firkin of Concord, North Carolina and Robert Mitchell Firkin of Bowling Green. One daughter Diane Stayte of Edmonton. One brother Roger Firkin of Dallas, North Carolina and two sisters Barbara Terrell of Pekin, Indiana and Carol Jones of New Albany, Indiana. Eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren also survive.
