Richard Froedge

Judge Richard Benton Froedge age 80 of Edmonton former Metcalfe County Judge Executive passed away Tuesday October 6, 2015 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was the son of the late Hershel and Lula Harvey Froedge. Judge Froedge was a retired construction worker and served as Metcalfe County Judge Executive from 1993 until 1998. He was one of the few and last to serve a five year term in the state of Kentucky. Richard was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday October 9th at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday and after 9:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife Lora Belle Forrest Froedge of Edmonton. Two sons. Dr. Mark Froedge and wife Vickie of Edmonton and Michael Froedge of Edmonton. One daughter Dr. Rebecca Greer and husband Tony of Glasgow. Three grandchildren. Dr. Brandon Greer and wife Dr. Stacie Greer of Bowling Green. Colton Forrest Froedge and Riley Brooke Froedge both of Edmonton. One great grandson Weston Hunter Greer of Bowling Green.
