Richard Duncan

Richard Finley Duncan age 75 of Edmonton died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at his home. He was the son of the late Archie Hayes and Kizzie James Bell Duncan. Richard was a member and deacon of the Edmonton Baptist Church, owner and operator of Duncan Life and Health Insurance Company in Edmonton. He was a US Army veteran and one of the founders of Barnlot Theatre in Edmonton. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with entombment in the Edmonton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday and after 9:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife Jeanette VanZant Duncan. Two daughters. Gina Gibson and husband Dave of Edmonton. Ellen Gregory and husband Eric of Midway, Kentucky. Five grandchildren. Russell Dean and Valerie Jeanette Gibson. Virginia Grace, Duncan Wayne and Sarah James Gregory. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Curt Duncan. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Edmonton Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
