Rex Syra

Mr. Rex Lee Syra, 86, of Edmonton, Ky. Passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky. He was born on Wednesday, August 26, 1936 the son of John Leeper and Opal (Bybee) Syra.

Mr. Syra is a 3 year U.S. Army Veteran, retiree from SKF in Glasgow, Kentucky after working 27 years, and was a farmer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Edward Syra.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mrs. Bonnie (Hurt) Syra of Edmonton, sons, Milton Syra, and Warren Syra both of Edmonton, grandchildren, Leah Syra, and Dillon Syra both of Bowling Green, along with other family members and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 14, 2023 after 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Butler Funeral Home. There will be a private comital at a later date.
