Perry Cavanah

Perry Dallas Cavanah, Jr age 81 of Edmonton passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton. Born in Madisonville, Kentucky he was the son of the late Perry Dallas Cavanah Sr and Annie Laura Day Cavanah. Dallas attended school in Madisonville and later served two years in the United States Army. In May of 1971 Dallas moved to Edmonton as owner and operator of Cavanah's IGA until his retirement in 1991. Dallas was a member of the Edmonton Baptist Church were he served as deacon. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at the Edmonton Baptist Church with burial to take place Monday, August 15th at 2:00 PM at the Riverside Cemetery at Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton and after 10:00 AM Thursday at the Edmonton Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Barbara Cavanah of Edmonton and one sister Rena Hopkins of Madisonville, Kentucky. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Anna Mae Spence. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Edmonton Baptist Church Memorial Fund, Metcalfe County Public Library or The Gideons.
