Nona Poynter

Nona Nell Chaney Poynter age 81 of Knob Lick went to be home with the Lord Thursday, January 23, 2020 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Luther (Jack) and Georgia Gray Chaney. Nona was a homemaker and member of the Antioch Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter Rita (Daniel) Waid of Knob Lick. Two nieces Teresa Piper and Pam Byrd. Two nephews Phillip Piper and James (Kim) Piper. A special grandson Tyler Piper and his children Avery and Jackson. Nona is also survived by a host of other nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Poynter. Three brothers and two sisters. Lindon, Buford and Randall Chaney. Patsy Byrd and Elizabeth Pearl Piper. One nephew Timmy Byrd. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Asbury-Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday and after 9:00 AM Sunday at the funeral home.
