Mary Janes

Virginia Janes age 90 of Edmonton passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton. She was the daughter of the late Carl Bryant and Mary Orlena Bell Fraser. She was a retired school teacher from the Metcalfe County School System and was a member of the Edmonton Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday and after 9:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. She is survived by two daughters. Kaye and husband Rick Hope of Summer Shade and Pam Grubbs and husband Gary of Glasgow. Two sisters. Cora Fraser and Sue Hood both of Glasgow. Five grandchildren. Page Edwards of Summer Shade, Jane (Jeff) Reece of Knob Lick, Kacy Hope of Jacksonville, Florida, Kristin Grubbs of Glasgow and Thomas (Samantha) Grubbs of Louisville. Four great grandchildren. Grant Edwards, Jake Edwards, Camryn Reece and Kinsley Reece. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Tom B. Janes and a sister Jeanette Phillips. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Edmonton Baptist church, Metcalfe County Retired Teachers Scholarship Fund of Barnlot Theatre.
