Marshall Smith

Marshall K. Smith age 78 of Edmonton passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 at his home. Marshall was born and raised in the Curtis-Ferris Fork community of Metcalfe County, the son of the late Charlie Willis Smith and Tina Froedge Smith Thompson. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Joe Field Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday and after 9:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife Kathy Jo Smith of Edmonton; One daughter Michelle Johnson and husband David of Greenwood, Indiana. Two grandchildren Austin and Makayla Johnson of Greenwood. One sister Linda Meinecke and husband Vince of Ohio. One sister in law, Freda Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana and one brother in law, Ron Freeman of Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Doug Smith and Gary Thompson; two sisters, Faye Freeman and Geneva Maybelle Carey.
