Larry Wayne White, age 55, of Richmond, died Saturday, October 3 1, 2015, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born July 14, 1960, in Edmonton, Kentucky, to Pate W. and Norma Compton White, Larry lived most of his life in Richmond, but his heart was in Kentucky. He was a dock worker for 28 years at ABF Freight in Dayton, Ohio. Larry was a very hardworking and big-hearted man. He was always there to lend a hand and to help others with their work. Larry enjoyed trail riding with horses and mules. He relaxed by watching classic westerns. Larry loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Linda Cooksey White, to whom he was married on January 25, 1980; daughter, Ashley Diane "Hootie" White of Richmond; father, Pate W. White of Edmonton, Kentucky; siblings, Mike (Lisa) White, Steve (Tammy) White, Greg (Diane) White, Carol Westmoreland, Jeff (Teresa) White, Anita (Mark) Campbell, and Gary (Michelle) White, all of Edmonton, Kentucky; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; father-in-law, Ray Cooksey of Richmond; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Compton White, who died July 1 5, 1997. Visitation for Larry Wayne White will be from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. There will also be a visitation from 3-8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, Kentucky. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2015, at Butler Funeral Home. Burial will be in Foundation Church Cemetery in Edmonton, Kentucky.
