John Farley

John Edwin Farley, 79, of Edmonton passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 at the Hospice House of SOKY in Bowling Green. He was born May 14, 1942 in Presque Isle, Maine to the late Roy and Inez Rogers Farley. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Mr. Farley was a United States Navy veteran serving his country from July 14, 1960 until June 1, 1964. While in the Navy he did the maintenance on radar equipment. He retired as a senior engineer from IBM and moved to Metcalfe County to pursue farming. He formerly attended the Red Lick United Methodist Church. Mr. Farley is survived by his wife Lynda Farley. Six children. Rose Simpson, Michael Farley, Edwin James Farley, Richard Roy Farley, Troy Mulroy and Gary James Noland. A sister Patricia Beck. Twenty grandchildren also survive. The family will conduct a graveside service for Mr. Farley Monday, August 9, 2021 at 6:00 PM. The service will take place at the Farley farm in Metcalfe county. There will be no visitation.
