Wendell Stephens, 86, of Edmonton passed away Friday, February 19th, 2021 at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton. Born August 9, 1934 in Metcalfe County he was the son of the late Henry and Mamie Stephens. Wendell attended school in Metcalfe County and afterwards served in the United States Army. Wendell was employed the Department of Fish and Wildlife as Conservation Officer in Metcalfe and surrounding counties, from which he retired after 25 years of service. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Amy Beth Harris Stephens and two brothers Anglie and Marshall Stephens. Wendell is survived by his wife Misti Mosher Fields Stephens. One son, Larry and wife Laurie Stephens. Two stepsons, Nathan and wife Micah Fields, BJ and wife Kayce all of Edmonton. Six grandchildren. Amelia (Chris) Ferguson, Rebekah (Mike) Parrino, Quentin Stephanie) Stephens, Raylee, Parker and Gracelyn Fields. Four great grandchildren. Brooks and Collin Parrino. Raelynn and Kinsley Stephens. Funeral services for Wendell Stephens will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton, with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. A walkthrough visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Butler Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted to the care of Mr. Stephens.
