Harry Hugh Huffman age 70 of Center passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at his home after a strong battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Garnett and Ruby Cassady Huffman. He was a farmer, dairyman and member of the Center United Methodist Church. He spent his whole life doing what he loved, taking care of the land. He had dairy and beef cows, operated a dozer for many years and did light construction work. He served as a Metcalfe County Magistrate for five years and was one of the initial founders of the North Metcalfe Rescue Squad. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Cassady Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday and after 9:00 AM Sunday at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Carolyn Huffman of Center. One son Chris and wife Amber Huffman of Center and one daughter Lesley and husband Johnny London of Center. One sister Janie Harlow of Center. Four grandchildren. Tyler London, Kassady London, Colton Huffman and Cade Huffman. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Idell Huffman and a brother Rex Huffman.
