Gene Acree

Austin Acree age 78 of Edmonton died Thursday, June 16th at his home. He was the son of the late William Paul and Opal Cooksey Acree. He was a farmer and retired from SKF in Glasgow after 33 years. Austin was a United States Army Veteran and of the Christian faith. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Sylvia Moss Acree. One son Kevin Acree and wife Tina of Edmonton. Two daughters Sonya Garmon and husband Carl of Edmonton. Geanetta "Gee" Watson and husband Shawn of Burkesville. Seven grandchildren. Tashia, Mareika, Dakota, Sarah, Darby, Heather and Cory. Seven great grandchildren. Brianna, Jaycee, Cambren, Karlie, Aydon, Anna Lei and Carter. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Charles Acree. A sister Norma Price and two nieces. Delinda and Robin Acree. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Moss-Stephens-Grissom Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and after 9:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
