Gary Gibson

Gary Wayne Gibson, 66, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 after a short battle with lung cancer. He was born in Metcalfe County on August 7, 1954, to the late Ellis and Marie (Wells) Gibson. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother William Larry Gibson and a sister Joyce Burgess. Gary Served in the United States Army for 20 years and retired as an U.S. Army Master Sergeant. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his children; Stephanie (Tommy) Harper of Cave City, Stacy (Jon) Casey of Chantilly, VA., Steven (Kassie) Gibson of Glasgow and Gregory Gibson of Lorton, VA. Eight grandchildren: Felisha Thompson, Tiffany Waters, Kylie Casey, Allen Harper, Briley Gibson, Brooke Gibson, Amber Casey and Braden Gibson. Three great grandchildren; Sophia, Hailie and Aubrey Waters. Four sisters; Lois Smith, Sue Smith, Helen Davis and Connie Garmon. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Gary Wayne Gibson will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the White Hill Cemetery.
