Elgin Parnell

Elgin Yvonne Parnell, 83 of Edmonton passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton. Elgin was born February 9, 1939 in the Bridgeport community of Metcalfe County. She was the daughter of the late Cosby and Clarice Keltner Blaydes. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Parnell. Elgin was a member of the Elm View Methodist Church. She will be remembered by many for her 30 plus years as the checkout clerk at the former JR Foods Store in Edmonton. Elgin is survived by one son, Ricky Parnell and wife Annie of Edmonton. A grandson Robby Parnell (Kim) of Edmonton. Two step grandchildren. Ashley (Chris) Powell and Austin Greenwell. Six great grandchildren. Landon, Landri, Maddie, Jasmine, Addie and Chastyn. A brother J.L. Blaydes and wife Helen. Funeral services for Elgin Parnell will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, May 16th at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial to follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
