Douglas Dale Garmon, 69 of Knob Lick passed away Friday March 17,2023 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born July 17,1953 to the late Herbert Garmon and Ruby Byrd Garmon. Doug drove a school bus for 27 years for Metcalfe County Schools until he retired. He loved farming, fishing and hunting. Doug is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Loretta Garmon. Two sons Michael (Jennifer) Garmon and Jeff (Trina) Garmon both of Knob Lick. Eight grandchildren Clayton (Jessica) Richardson, Hunter Garmon, Tanner Garmon, Kyle Dennison, Karlee Dennison ( Brendon Brown), Zachary Bailey, Devon Garmon and Emma Garmon. Two great grandchildren Paislee Richardson and and Everly Brown. Brother Arvest (Diana) Garmon of Knob Lick. Sister Marie Garmon of Sulphur Well. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Doug is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters Mary Coomer, Bonnie Hare, Helen Brown, Annabelle Coomer, Glenn Garmon, Rondale Garmon, Preston Junior Garmon and Kenny Bowles. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 21st at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Garmon Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00PM Monday and after 9:00 AM Tuesday until time of service. Butler Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted to the care of Mr. Garmon.
