Donnie

Donald "Donnie" Ray Harris, 66 of Edmonton, Kentucky passed away Thursday June 6, 2024. Donnie was born March 9, 1958, to the late Henry Boston and Mary Agnes Harris. He was also preceded in death by his sons Donald Lee and William Thomas Harris, and his sisters Hilda Harris and Carlotta Harris.

Donnie lived a simple yet fulfilling life centered around his family, farming and close relationships. He was a no-frills man who found joy in the simple things and never sought extravagance. He adored his family, including his beautiful grandchildren, and was overjoyed to meet his future grandson.  He also enjoyed coming home everyday to his two dogs Ty and Charlie. Working alongside his son was a constant source of happiness, and he cherished every moment of it. He had a contagious smile and was always quick to lend a helping held, asking nothing in return. Donnie found success in life by living humbly and spreading joy to those around him.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years Vickie Thompson Harris of Edmonton, three children Donald Jordan (Kaitlyn) Harris of Edmonton, Jessica Harris (Jason Martin) of Sonora, and Alicia Alley of Edmonton, grandchildren Ella Price Bain, Cayson Dane Ray Pickerell and soon to be grandson Bryson Lee Harris, one brother Doug (Kay) Harris.

Funeral services for Donnie Harris will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 10, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Beechville. Visitation will be from 4:00P.M. until 8:00P.M Sunday and after 8:00 A.M. Monday until time of the service.
