Damon Junior Fancher, 71, of Glasgow, Kentucky formerly of Knob Lick, Kentucky passed away on February 19, 2024, at Glasgow State Nursing facility. He was born March 9, 1952, to the late James Edward Damon Fancher and Lucille Ordenia Poynter Fancher.
He loved being outdoors. He worked on cars and lots of mechanical things. He made several lifelong friends, and he loved animals. He tinkered with watches and became very good at repairing them. He enjoyed riding his Honda motorcycle.
He is survived by two daughters, Susie (Joseph) Ditsworth, Anderson, Indiana, and Alisha Neal of Hiseville, Kentucky. Eight grandchildren, Chelsea Hartsock and fiancé Austin Murphy, Aaron Ditsworth and fiancé Jada Mullins, Dawson Ditsworth, Brynleigh Ditsworth, Skyler Chapman, Gavin Neal, Colton Poynter, Brantley Poynter and one great granddaughter, Westlynn Murphy.
He is also survived by three sisters, Susan (Arnold) Cross, Knob Lick, Kentucky, Jennifer McKinney, Horse Cave, Kentucky and Rometta “Rosie” (Larry) Davenport of Glasgow, Kentucky. One brother, Carlos H. (Beverly) Fancher of Horse Cave, Kentucky, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers. James Fancher (stillborn), Edward (Billy) Fancher, Vernon Fancher, Maxie Fancher, Chester Fancher and Charles (Hot Shot) Fancher. Four sisters, Nina Mae (Louise) Poynter, Avis Pauline Fancher (Stillborn), Janet Stovall and Jaynette Owens.
Funeral service for Damon will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, February 23, 2024, in the chapel of Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with interment to follow in the Houk Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM Friday, until time of service at the funeral home. Butler Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Fancher
