Cecil Dewayne Mccoy

Cecil Dewayne McCoy, 69 of Summer Shade, Kentucky passed away Monday, June 3, 2024, in Glasgow, KY. Cecil was born September 24, 1955, in Monroe County to the late James and Lucille Kingrey McCoy. He is also preceded in death by his sister Linda White.

Cecil was welder/mechanic for Independent Muffler for many years. He enjoyed working on old cars, farming, fishing, traveling and joking around with people.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Shelvy Melton McCoy of Summer Shade, one son Marty (Janelle) Mccoy of Summer Shade, two daughters Machelle (Juan) Canales of Summer Shade and Ashley (James) Logsdon of Cave City, grandchildren Jacob, Gavin, Isabella, Aleigha, Caden, Alyssa, Elijah, great -grandchildren Gabriel, Daliah and Silas, and one nephew Darren White.

Funeral services for Cecil McCoy will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home and after 8:00 AM Thursday until time of service.
