Carl Pennington

Carl Reed Pennington, 89, of Center passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at his home. He was born April 25, 1932 to the late Clifton Jill Pennington and Lovie Katherine Matney Pennington. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Wayne Pennington and two brothers. Jimmie and Ray Morris Pennington. Mr. Pennington attended the Center Church of Christ and was a graduate of the Center High School. Mr. Pennington farmed all his life and had a passion for the land. He enjoyed being with his family and friends of the Center community. Carl is survived by a son, Anthony Pennington and wife Sheila of Center. A daughter in law Gayle Pennington of Center. Two grandchildren. April Pennington Walbert and husband Donald of Savoyard and Ashley Pennington Mehmedovic and husband Anel of Bowling Green. Two great grandchildren. Holden White of Colorado and Hunter Nunnally of Savoyard. Funeral services for Mr. Pennington will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 4th at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Asbury-Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday and after 9:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Butler Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted to the care of Mr. Pennington.
