Brenda Lee Smith

Brenda Lee Smith, 70 of Edmonton, KY passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Shanti Niketan Hospice House. Brenda was born September 16, 1954, to the late Robert Neal and Leola Gardner Smith. She was also preceded in death by her son Mark Smith, two brothers Tommy Smith and David "Bobo" Smith, and her sisters Mary Lou Jessie and Patricia "Prissy" White. 

Brenda worked for the Barren County School System and retired after 37 years of service. She enjoyed joking around with people and making them laugh. Brenda was musically talented, she learned to play by ear and could play just about any instrument she picked up. Brenda was outgoing, had a big heart and loved everybody. Brenda loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. 

She is survived by her siblings Faye (Danny) Word of Edmonton, Bonnie (Milton) Harbour of MS, and Joe Smith of Edmonton, adopted sister Nancy Butler, and special friends Larry Wilson and Sharon Young. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services for Brenda Smith will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Edmonton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday and after 8:00 AM Sunday at the funeral home.
