Barbara Compton

Barbara Jean Cash Compton formerly of Edmonton passed away November 8, 2015 at Norton Audubon Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky after a short illness. Mrs. Compton was born October 27, 1949. She was the daughter of Mable Fields Cash and the late James Cash. Mrs. Compton was the wife of Veachel Compton for 50 years. In addition to her mother Mable Cash of Summer Shade and husband Veachel Compton, Louisville she is survived by one daughter Sandie Martin (Lee) of Louisville. One son Brian Compton (Shannon), Orlinda, TN. Three grandchildren, Shania Ziegler, Louisville, Hunter Compton, Orlinda, Tn. Nicholas Compton, Orlinda, TN. Three step grandchildren, Samantha Martin, Louisville. Alex Martin, Louisville and Kristina Adams (Jonathan) of Louisville. One step great granddaughter Ann Elizabeth of Louisville. Mrs. Compton is survived by one sister Rebecca Lawson (Mike) of Summer Shade. Two brothers William Cash (Lucy) of Cave City and David Cash (Carla) of Glasgow. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs Compton was preceded in death by her father James Cash, brother Donnie Ray Cash and grandson Cory Ziegler. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, November 13th 2015 at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Big Meadow Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday and after 9:00 am Friday at the funeral home.
