Anne Foster Hodges

Anne Foster Hodges, age 69, of the Center Community of Metcalfe County, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. Anne was born on Tuesday, April 20, 1954, the daughter of Fraser and Jenny (Porter) Hodges. She was a member of the Center Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Western Kentucky University and received a Master’s Degree from the University of Kentucky. She was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. Anne was a licensed Physical Therapist spending the majority of her professional career at Kleinert Kutz Hand Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky as a Certified Hand Therapist. She served as the primary physical therapist for the first hand transplant patient in the United States and was a published author on hand therapy.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents.

Anne is survived by her husband James “Sonny” Foster of Center, Kentucky; sister, Nancy (Hodges) (& Glyn) Steele of Center, Kentucky; niece, Whitney (Steele) (& Matt) Ball of Nashville, Tennessee; along with many friends and loved ones.

The funeral service for Anne Foster Hodges will be conducted on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Center Methodist Church, with Bro. Neal Jefferies officiating. Burial will follow in the Cassady Cemetery in Center, Kentucky just off Herbert Hodges Rd. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 25, 2023, after 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the church.
